Mortuus Cadaver – Cemetery Debauchery (2022) Review

Cemetery Debauchery is Polish band Mortuus Cadaver’s first full-length album after releasing a couple of rehearsal demos. The album consists of 7 songs, clocking in at almost 30 minutes. Starting with the opening track “Servants of Doom”, you know what you’re getting: an unrelenting OSDM assault. They can certainly slow things down, and often do, but still manage to remain heavy as Hell. “Machete” starts slow and plodding with an ominous thundering bassline only to finish at breakneck speed. The album concludes with a faithful cover of Nunslaughter’s Raid the Convent, a nice way to end this amazing debut outing. 4/5
